So I replaced the hose this weekend and had the system checked for leaks and added 134a. All is well now and my ac is blowing ice cubes.

Im having a nightmare with the b14's ac... I tried to recharge it only to find out that there was a broken line. So I ordered the 1.6 line because it "LOOKS" exactly the same. They bend is a little off, but the blocks on either end on the hose where identical.

So I try and put the hose on and it kinks. I tried to bend it in another way, and start threading the bolt in on the condenser side, and cross thread it, and backing it out I snapped the bolt in half.

So now I just got a new condenser and a new stock hose from courtesy (high side discharge line)... but I guess I should buy the drier and what else???

Its got no pressure and the ac hasent worked in a couple years. I am very much hoping that the compressor is still good I would hate to pay money and it be all for not.

Is there a way to check the compressor before I go thorugh all the trouble?

I was told when I bought the car that the ac WORKED and that he just bypassed it on the ve for power's sake.

Should I buy the drier and a new set of o-rings just in case? I am going to have to take it to a shop to get the vac done, but I guess if I want to done right, Ill need to take them the parts or risk getting charged out the ass for parts I could have provided.

Just wanna get the ac right in this car, its consistently over 100 here everyday and I cant keep throwing money at it.

Thanks for the help

If the ac system has been exposed for the atmosphere then theres a chance it has mosture in it and in that case I would get a new dryer.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.
