So I guess I should get a UR underdrive pulley - I'd imagine a new crank pulley from Nissan would be twice the cost

Under drive pulleys require diff belts. You can easily find a used pulley for cheap like Chris said.

Yeah, I know. Ironic ----> because we actually did a UR pulley change at Chris's house years back on one of my cars. I don't know if I would ever want a stock pulley again because now I'll be freaked out this will happen again. Same thing happened when my clutch cable broke in bumper to bumper traffic. I now keep a fresh clutch cable in the car.

You could even get a app for $5 bucks on your phone that hooks up via a bluetooth obd2 connector ($20) that provides live data like that if you want to go cheap
