High Port JDM motor does not use highport USDM filters?
The filter that was on my car was a PH 2876. What filter works from Nissan? I bought two Nissan filters but they threads are too small. Need to take them back before the dealer closes.

I just found it. Fram is 6607. Nissan did not have any 95-99 filters so I had to use a Fram.

Yeah the newer high ports went to the lowport style filter.

Huh. That's odd, my JDM used the same one as the car it was installed in (91)

It actually goes by the year it was made.Unless the water neck has been changed,I go by that. The date is stamped on it.
Anything 96 or newer,JDM,or USDM use the Lowport /ve filter.

Storm you must have an older JDM.....I have a 91 JDM and it uses the same highport filter also.

15208-65F0C (short stubby type) or 15208-9E000 (overall taller) will work on 96 and new Lowports and VE...

Highports from 93.5 and older available years use 15208-53J0A

I use a 9E000 for my VE for the added filter media, may be negliable but it may help

I also use this taller filter because it is correct for my Frontier 4.0L,and it fits the VE,so I can use the same filter for both
GregV pointed that out to me a few years ago when I was ordering filters.
Thanks Greg!

I guess I may be wrong on the years??? Is it 93.5 and up or 96 and up that use the newer filter on the JDM highports???
can anyone verify this? I thought Miko told me 96 and up,but not 100% sure

Highports stopped here after 93.5, I had one and still do. That is what was taken out of the P10.

It only accepted the 15208-53J0A filter, blue lettering. In fact, any of the short stub filters can take a 15208-9E000 filter but having room to put it on and off is the deciding factor.

The filters I assume would be the same, but Nissan JP uses a different part numbers for their vehicles concerning the oil which is stupid but I digress.

Also, we may be describing the different motors differently too..

I was told Highports had injectors on top (91-93.5 p10) and lowports had injectors under the plenum (94+ p10) I assume they would be the same for the other chassis as well

My JDM highport has a build date of 95. It uses the shorty filter.
