Thread: Quick help: can someone identify this hose and where it goes *pic*

It's the one I'm holding in my hand, it leads down to the top of drivers side of transmission where it connects. The car is a '97 200sx SE-R (DE)



EDIT: nevermind, apparently this hose goes no where. I am a dumbass.

Hah, that one gets you guys all the damn time. It's just the tranny vent, it doesn't connect to anything, just vents to the atmosphere.

Edited original post. I'm relieved though, thought I forgot to connect something. A decade of working with these engines I've never touched the transmission, I guess thats why I never heard of it

I don't think any of my SR20's have ever even had that hose, just the metal vent coming off the tranny. Toss the hose, and save a few ounces.

1991-1993.5 had the metal cap vent.

I'm sorry. I use the search function all the time and I get nothing or too much stuff. I searched "EGR" and I got nothing, says try different terms, then I searched tranny hose and got thousand posts with the word tranny or hose in it. Plus it's not like I just randomly saw it there and made the post. To get to the EGR pipe under the back of the TB, you have to disconnect like 6 different hoses, and I thought I missed one.
Oh well, now I know.
