This crap is annoying. This morning I go to start it and it almost starts but doesn't and then it begins clicking. I try it again and just clicking. I check the battery with my volt meter, thinking its dead, and it shows 12.1v. Wtf? I did manage to get it started by jumping it. Any idea why that would happen? I still think the alt may be toast.

Bad connections, check bat cables and chassis grounds. Also charge your battery, it's voltage is low. But to test my theory, use jumper cables to the battery gnd post the the chassis and engine block, bet it will start right up.

Update: Brand new alternator and battery. Im glad I kept that receipt lol. They tested the alt and it was indeed bad. Im still not sure why the battery/brake light didnt come on. Anyway in the process of removing the alt, the plug decided to be a f-ing bitch and get stuck. I did get it off, but one of the wires got stripped. So now im trying to figure out how to fix that, or would it be easier to get a new/used one?
