Thread: Is this lip Fixable?

Well, I went to the junkyard and picked up an s12 front lip
but it looks really bent out of shape
There's a small hole on it, but that's the least of my worries
Also another idea I had was if there was a way to make it sturdy, like putting fiberglass on it or something
it seems to be made out some foam stuff, like the 300zx TT spoilers

maybe with some heat you can bend it back, but you are going to have to use some extreme caution to get it to look right. After the time spent you will probably have done better to find another donor. Just my opinion. Sorry, but to me it wouldn't be worth the time.

Yeah I get what you're saying, but these lips aren't the easiest things to find.
I'm trying to find a place that could try to fix it.
think a body shop would be too much for it?

Anytime you try to get something back to original shape it's always going to cost you $$$. Take it down and get some estimates, who knows it might be cheaper then what I think it would be. Worse they can say is they can't fix it.

true, and if they can't fix it then I'm just going to balls out and heat that bitch up and make it fit like a chunt
