I've noticed every stock DE I've driven doesn't like the tach to be under 1500rpm and WOT. Is this what you are talking about?

i had the same issue, it turned out to be a bad vac line that attached the egr/bpt vavle...its was blown out

the only way i found it was when i was deleteing the EGR

how do you delete the EGR? Im rather new to this whole process.

you press delete

lol jk.

you unbolt everything except the solenoid, put a resistor in the solenoid, a few places sell block off plates you bolt them on, then you reroute the vac lines

boom EGR is gone...

keep in mind that if you have a inspection station that does a full visual, they might ding you for not haveing EGR

Also could be a bad TPS. I'd start by checking the voltages. You can do an egr bypass by pulling the vacuum hose off of the EGR solenoid and putting a screw in the hose to plug it up. I can snap a pic of how I did this on my car later if you would like. Takes 30 seconds this way.
