Vadim, what injectors are you using for your turbo setup?

Did you clean all your engine grounds?

The distributor is shot. I don't know why I didn't think of doing this earlier. I wanted to try my daily's distributor in my car, but I didn't want to car the ear off of it to fit on the VE. But I forgot that I could always put my shaved one in the daily. So I did, went to start it, sputter and die.

Looks like I did short it out when doing a compression test. Well that explains it all. Now I'm trying to build a frankie one from my VE distributor.

and as far as the frankendist goes, it should be fairly easy with a RR dist, or atleast from what i've read.. just make sure the rotor points to the #1 cyl on tdc COMP stroke. doesn't matter what it says on the cap as long as that first cyl fires first. then, obviously time the engine.

hey wait a second, isn't the ve an rr dist plugs the same?

Hey Vadim, I have a few spare distrubutors in my garage, which I think are VE. If you can tell me how to identify them, one is yours for the cost of shipping.

Basically spark was there, just not strong enough. But it was fine and lit the fuel as long as it was out of the cylinders.

Me to, though now need to see if I can find a roller rocker one locally.

Thanks man, I will let you know. I would rather stick to RR if I can to avoid rewiring, especially since I might go back to RR anyway

I just finished combining RR with VE, assuming RR head and cap reach, we should be good to go after rewire of the harness to VE plug (if I still have it :o).

Will report back hopefully tonight with progress pictures too.
