Thread: Identify this clutch setup

Held up strong on a fully built NA VE. Installer error?

Had one for a while, slipped on 18psi, held great at 9

Had a stage 2 on my DE, and the springs started rattling after 3k miles. Pulled it out after 35k miles, and they were all about to fall out.

i think its a hit or miss with this clutch. ive had xtd that worked great and ive had one that was slipping on a bolt on ve.

It seems to be hit or miss with all clutch setups from the feedback I'm seeing on this forum. Leads me to believe that (a) installer error (b) can't drive or (c) in fact that quality of clutches suck balls.

XTD sucks ass... I put one in my bolt on DE and broke it in for 1k miles and first time I got on it, slammed into 2nd and it slipped... Had the XTD stage 3 from aimco clutches or w.e on ebay and seriously FUCK that guy... Wouldn't even own up to the waranty, just started acting stupid since I didn't install it till after the 30 days that it stays on the ebay...

^ I know the guy. His store is about a mile a way from me. Over the past years I would break a clutch and he would give me a new one. He did own up to the warranty but last month I went to get a replacement and said no. I guess he's loosing money.

He also used to give me 1 year warranty.

XTD clutch....had one in my bolt on DE held up pretty good...chirped on 3rd...bought a new one for my VE slips like crazy on fast shifts and at high rpm...gonna be switching to the fx500 soon.
