2 Quick questions?
1st Q: SOLVED

I just replaced my transmission filter and pan gasket, my question was, How many qts does it take to fill it up exactly? The 1982-1994 Haynes manual says 2.6qts, but when i went to buy the trans oil on advanced auto part they told me it takes 6qts. I'm freaking confused.

1991 Nissan Sentra
1.6L SFI DOHC 4cyl Automatic

2nd Q:

What can be a cause or causes for the car to feel held back, like when your hitting the gas? hard to describe.

^^^_ fail...drain and fill is usually close to 3.add 2.5 then shift thru the gears 10 seconds each and check the level. Normal operating temps when u check it. That sugar kid was referring to a manual tranny.

Darn it! i think i put in 5 already cuz when i was replacing as needed i wasn't seeing an accurate reading, so now im just a bit above the H mark. I was told b4 that its not a problem just to not go overboard. Is it true? If anything i'll just drain it out a bit.

on an automatic transmission the transmission MUST be at operating temp for you to check the level....if you do this and the level is showing too full thats why it feels held back.....too low will do the same

no clue how much atf it takes tho
