Need Help[Fuel pressure]
Did the whole swap thing and now when i set the fpr at 38psi at idle and i rev it a little the pressure gauge shoots to 100 and kills the car. I have no clue what im doing wrong. I changed the fpr and still same thing. I am going to change the fuel pump tonight, right now i have a walbro on. Martin has a idea that it might be the walbro giving too much fuel. But if its not that than what else can it be? Any help would be great.

I'd rule out the FPR, as he already had replaced it. Sounds like it could possibly be vacuum related? The FPR is regulated by vacuum...

I know AFPR's and FPR's can in fact get stuck, if the diaphram is toast.

i have the vacuum connected with the boost gauge and the gauge is reading 18-19 vacuum so it should get enough vacuum.

i just dont get it at all even if i leave it idleing and i adjust the fpr if i go over 40 it shoots to 100 and dies out. if i set it to anything over 25psi and rev it, it also jumps to 100. if i go lower than 25 and rev it im only getting that much psi at high revs. i need all the help i can get. it did this also on my last swap so i dont think its engine part that went bad. Only thing i can think of is the walbro giving it too much fuel.

do you have the stock FPR? try putting that on and see what happens. And have you check your spark plugs and dist. cap and rotor and maybe your fuel filter is clogged? jsut giving ya ideas.

sounds like a blocked return line maybe caused by bad fuel tank venting, which would cause the fuel tank to pressurize also not allowing fuel to return and the pressure to build up. you might try loosening the gas cap and then try it again and see what happens

checked the return line and it looks fine. Fuel filter is ok too. took out the injector closest to the fpr and tryed too see if im getting any fuel threw. if i go over anything over 20psi it fpr locks up and does not let fuel out. when i give it less pressure the fuel comes out. so it has to be something before the rail that is making it work like this. im clueless
