Thread: Sr20 swap in a 1987 200sx coupe

You may want to join clubS12.org or com or whatever. Everything you need to know will be there my friend had a S12 hatchback that he dropped a ca18det in and had it dropped on some XXR002's bad ass looking car I'll post some pics later for you.

I am on there I'm on every any forum I can find I'm new at 200sx myself lol but they dnt like people that want to drop a SR in a 87 200sx lol they got mad when I asked.... Lol I just like SR engine

I'm sure there is info on how to do an SR20DE/DET swap into an S12 on at least one of those other forums. I think the CA18DET and VG30 are your easiest swaps, since they bolt right in (with the appropriate mounts) followed by the KA24DE.

Mounts, driveline, wiring harness, and some minor modifications in engine bay, but its not that hard, its like any other swap. More people seem to go rb in s12's. I miss my old 200sx, got her for 500 bucks.

There's not much difference between a sr20 swap and a ca18 swap. It should fit. They bolt up identical. Any ca18 you get will be from a s13 and the wiring is pretty much the same as the sr.

Would bea neat swap. From what I remember ka24de and ca18det are easier swaps right?

I'd probably go Ca18DET(cheaper than Sr20Det), or FJ20 if you could find one.

Yea it's a 1986 200sx coupe got it 100$ no engine.... My 1st car was a 1994 Mitsubishi Galant and I still have it as my DD :-) it's slammed stannaced and good on gas lol my second car is a s14 with a sr20det. Blacktop...... I dnt want easy I want different lol.... I can pick up a SR full swap 1k just need know bit more about the swap lol thanks for all your help :-)
