I just did a swap similar to this. I upgraded my 92 NX1600 to a 95 lowport SR20. The biggest problem I had was the connectors/plugs above the transmission on the body using a 93 SE-R engine harness. It will involve wiring on those connectors coming from the transmission into the body harness. One plug that I had to rewire was the reverse switch for the transmission. Just to get the car to run I had to jump the relay on the Clutch Inhibitor switch because the ground for the Inhibitor switch is different for the 1.6 and 2.0. You may also encounter problems with the speedometer since a 92 NX I think was mechanical and the 94 was electronic.
It was a headache for me and involved looking through the wiring diagrams in the FSM and then trying things out. It can be done but it is a little bit of a hassle. Maybe someone else can give more details on this because I am curious also on how others did this.
