97' vs. 98' Rear O2 Sensor
Overview:
I have a 98' 200sx SE-R will a 97' ECU installed. I just recently replaced the rear O2 sensor to clear the that OBD2 code.
Problem:
I am now getting a p0136 code. I first thought some of my wire joints (I got a universal sensor) are open (this might still be a possibility), but then I got to looking and see there is a big difference between a 97' rear O2 (3-wire) sensor and a 98' rear O2 sensor (4-wire).
The Questions:
Since I have a 98' harness and a 98' O2 sensor, will this automatically cause a p0136 code on a 97' ECU? Besides installing a programmable ECU, is there any way to get the stock ECU to accept this configuration?
