Thread: Question about sr20 head ???

Didn't Robert (Bob) Legere stamp heads he worked on?

^ Complete as in what all exactly , because the thing is i bought this with a bunch of other different parts and a whole engine , misc parts on a partout . I was to the point of debating scraping the head and engine but i'll hold onto it if it's anything worthwhile, Thanks viprdude i'll have to check that link out tonight when i get home from work .

Complete as in the cam caps, cams, rockers, etc.

Looking at it above, you don't have any of this pictured, which means the head will require work before you can attempt to use it. You'll need to source rockers, cams, cam caps, and the cam caps will require bore work. You'll also need the oil squirters.

^ thanks for the link I'll check em all out then , and yea I kinda figured it would need rebuilt I'll make sure not to scrap it though lol maybe eventually I'll rebuild it . Now there is a box full of little parts which I think include cam caps but I am not 100% positive . I'll have to take a pic of all the parts that I picked up with it , I also have a maf housing that I can't figure out what it's to . So do you guys think work was already done to this head before ? Think it has anything worth saving or should I just buy all new internals for it ?? Thanks alot for the help guys I really appreciate it

Ok so this is everything that came with it . BTW i tried to pm this bob legere about it to maybe gain some more info , so hopefully i hear something back , unless one of you guys know a quicker way to contact him . thanks

Also i messed up the markings on the side of this head are "94Y L1" and the other head i have that's still on the other motor says "94Y R1" ??? Any known difference between the two ???? i tried to look it up to no avail . Is one maybe obd1 and the other obd2 ?
