Thread: HP?

Can a 1998 Nissan Sentra E Model 4 Door GA16DE Engine:
Modifications:
1) Swap in a USDM 1996 SR20 Engine, Full 96 ECU System, 1998 SER Harness, 1996 LSD Tranny.
2) 1991 JDM SR20 Intake Camshaft
3) Generation 1 Hotshot Headers Down-Flex pipe mated to a cylindrical catilytic converter, follwed by a 2.5" exhaust to an Ebay muffler "Bomz".
4) Emissions system, Evap canister and EGR hook up
5) K&N CAI System
Accomplish.....140 HP at the wheels?

you will have extra plugs with that harness, use the 95-97 harness. to answer your question, no you will not get 140hp at the wheels with that setup, maybe with alot of programming but you will need a different computer setup

All things are possible, and idea is plausable, on top of that. Go for it. 140 at the wheels? I think not. If you remove the cat entirely and just put in a straight pipe, you could probably get about 130 or so with that setup...

140 at the wheels is not likely with this setup -- more likely you would produce something near 130. A custom-programmed ECU and S3 or S4 cam would get you there almost for sure. Also, some kind of upgraded intake would be helpful.
