I wish you were my next door neighbor Ben! Lol!

Well my idle has always been tweaked, only idling with a warm motor as previously stated. Having had a mild street tune solely to dial in WOT, with a warm motor at idle and cruising, my AFRs hovered rich around 12.5. WOT was and still is perfect. After many idle battle attempts I realized it may just be a tuning issue with idle AFR'S basically being backwards. Lemme explain:

Cold motor start up AFR's would be lean around 14.5-15 while a warm motor, like I said, was rich around 12.5.

NOW...after parking my car in October till just this past March, having started the car maybe twice and only changing the battery, idle warm or cold doesn't exist and AFR's are at --- lean. Cruising speeds yield anywhere from 14.5-17, generally hovering around 15.5 or 16.

Now one might say what's the problem? AFR's seem legit just needing some tweaking to fatten up those 16's and 17 spikes while crusing and neutral to bring it to an idle. BUT, before I parked her 5+ months ago she was rich. Although I've gained probably 50+ miles per tank there is a problem.

You said maybe the ecu is reading the iacv but maybe the iacv isn't responding. How do I determine if the iacv is non responsive?

I can set my idle speed in realtime anywhere from 0 rpm to 9,000 rpm and my idle stays right where it is, nothing. Sometimes she will catch an idle and it's around 1,500 rpm but soon as I go and come to a stop again the idle is gone. If I put her Into timing mode (if I catch an idle) the idle stays right where it is.

Sorry to toss so much at once. I hope to hear back from you again. I've always looked to you as an informational authority around here. I built my damn motor and haven't payed a shop for anything other than tires and exhaust in over 7 years. I don't wanna start pissing my money now. I'd almost be inclined to sell the whole car first :-( <-----won't happen!!!!!!

Do you have a Consult cable? If so, Conzult SX software allows you to directly manipulate the IACV.

It use to be just a cold motor issue but now it persists warm or cold, also AFRs are magically leaned WAY out at idle and cruise after nothing more than a winter slumber and a new battery, WOT still spot on. My percentage is high when cold and drops to exactly 10% when warmed. I remain baffled for 4 years and am extremely frustrated now even more with the new magical development.

ya know i have some same symptoms...lean at idle and cruisong ..after the weather changed from winter one day it started driving funny...but my idles is money...ive cleanded out the idle shit..new pcv, dist, plugs, reset the timing

I would say ur iacv is possibly no good. Do u have an extra around or possibly a junkyard around to get a new one? What motor are u working with? I might have an iacv that I could let u use to see if that's the problem. Also have u tried an intake cleaning with some seafoam?'

Chris I do not.
Pedron I've done a new fuel filter and cone filter do far, while also cleaning the MAF and regeounding it. Also MANY of the other typical problem solutions in the past. I was actually thinking plugs next.
Liljay, sr20. Motor and setup has MAYBE 25k mile on it at most. The only junkyard around here that had an sr20 in it scrapped the car, an NX2000. Bastards! Where in mass are you? I work in Boston.

Damn Ben, I just noticed you posted a link. In bed now I will
Scope that in the morning. Thanks everyone do far. Please, any suggestions I will appreciate and gladly thank! Regardless, with WOT still perfect, I shall be attempting 12's on the 23rd. Possibly the 25th weather permitting. Just a side note ;-)

I've also tried other tunes. The original from calum, the one I have with 2 step, a couple other randoms, and one I search here on the forum. All do just about the same thing.

In the link Ben provided, can anyone tell me in step 7, how to put it in that diagnostic mode? Also, In reference to step 8, where is the blow by hose?

Step 7 I believe refers to the user having an On-Board-Diagnostics (OBD) tester hooked up.
