Thread: b15 transmission question

Do any of the b15 2.0 se manual transmissions come without LSD???

Yes they do come without lsd.

There is a reason why when you look them up through a yard or online salvage yard check source you will find lsd and non lsd models. Same when it comes to the P11's. I believe only the G20 Sport model came with the lsd while others were available with a non lsd 5 speed.

Just look for the hump on the drivers side where the axle goes in.

Only the sports package B15 came with the LSD.

G20T comes with LSD as well as the rare Sport model G20 (most G20s arent lsd)

I'm pretty sure the B15's where all LSD though.

Im telling you again, most b15 2.0 SE's were non lsd. Again like LikeTheMovies said, only the sport model came lsd. Trust me, ive seen a bunch of them in the yards and almost all were non lsd. The lsd b15 and p11 trans are harder to find.

Indeed, this is true. Though I wish it were not the case; as it would make it easier to find a lsd transmission haha.

Third article stating base models come with a factory non lsd 5 speed both in the 1.8 b15's and 2.0's btw which the 1.8 non lsd transmissions use the same gearstacks and final drive as the p11 lsd trans.

There are absolutely B15 SR trannys that are non-LSD. Which is why you always have to check for the hump at the yard, and/or ask for pics if buying on line.
