Thread: Need Help: SR20 Engine Block Number

I just bought a 1991 Sentra with a Sr20det swap yesterday. I was told it was an Avenir motor but I have no idea how to verify what motor is in it. The valve cover is after market and the whole stock turbo set-up is missing. He had a large aftermarket setup on and took it off before he sold the car. So all I have is a number on the block that says SR20 2715068. Can anyone tell me what this means? I cant find anything on here where people discuss what this block numbers stand for. Thanks
