My stupid REAL B&M short shifter rattles sometimes on the highway which iiritates me. When I grab the shift knob to hold it still it goes quiet. I find myself holding it a lot lately. Wonder if I'm hurting my tranny.

I either hold the wheel with both hands or rest my hand on the passenger seat, or if my gf's in the car on her leg.
