Hydrolocked engine
Driving slowly through a deep gutter today, the engine stalled. Pulled the plugs, cranked it to blow the water out (all seemed well), and tried restarting.
As soon as it fired, it stopped, and the number one rod punched a hole in the block.
I was aware of the theoretical possibility, but wanted to pass on that it really can happen. Hot Shot CAI BTW.
Anyway, The VE head/manifold ect will be for sale.

damn man that suxs...maybe look into a bypass filter if you plan on running cai on the daily.

Yeah, should have just run an SRI, especially with the high RPM of the VE.

is the rod still connected to the crank?

Yeah, looks like it snapped the rod like a twig probably during the original locking of the motor. Doesnt take much. Water doesnt compress lol.

I thought something like this happened to my motor today. went to pull into traffic and my car jus died and i herd a loud SLAM!!!!!!!! Fortunately was jus a motor mount bolt that fell right out.
