Belt Help..... (beating the dead horse)
CS power steering eliminator kit + GSpec water pump pulley = what belt?

This not only helps me but, it will also help Greg V.

Any help with this would be great. I am trying to avoid a million trips to the auto parts store. LOL.

Looks like it time to measure with a string. You could also look at the e model belt size with out the p/s + the added size of the gspec pulley.

Do what everyone else does, cut your old belt in half, wrap it around and measure where it overlaps. Then go to the parts store and say you need a 4 rib belt /w this length and see what is the closest they have. Only way to assure you are getting the right belt.

Thanks for the ideas gang. Like I said I wanted to avoid the BS if I could find a part #. I am shocked that not one person runs this set up.

if the engine is out of the car you can get a belt on the water pump and crank pully and you dont have to use a PS eliminator kit.

Measure up for the right belt. unbolt the water pump pully and have it on with one bolt but lose where it is not on the pilot or center hole. Put the belt on and push on the pully to line it up and get it on.

I have done this for many customers. Works great.

Rob, quick off topic jaunt. If you still have your power steering stuff, I'd love to take it off your hands if its in good condition. I just bought a car without it and I am not a fan for a daily drive and need to add it back in. PM me if you have it still. Thanks
