Puck disks FTW..... it saves you the hastle and trust me they arnt that much different to drive than a street disk, both my friends cars have a HD and Extreeme PP with a street disk and they are basicly no different engagement than mine, Theirs is a tiny bit smoother thats it.

Hell, I ran a stock >100k mile pressure plate with an ACT organic sprung disc on my DET for 40k miles. It didn't slip unless you gassed it before it was completely engaged.

I ended up going with my leftover stock disc... the clutch really doesn't grab as strong as the other disc, very very very very smooth engagement though. Hopefully it'll hold up to some boost.

If you baby it and let it seat to the PP and FW you should be good at least to hold you over until you get a stronger clutch.

If your PP is still in decent condition, just replace the disc with an ACT puck...

I just replaced my Exedy OEM disc with an ACT 6 puck , but i still kept the OEM PP , and it grips nice with a stock feel.

Yeah, I'll do that when the time comes, which hopefully isn't too soon after it's finished ...

haha why is everyone changing my original post, you know that stuff is copyrighted right, haha.

You wont break trannies using a six puck any more than any other heavy duty clutch, if you drive it right you dont get alot of chatter at all. They last freakin forever and they grip hard with no slipping at all. My non sprung 4 buck with extreeme pp is really easy for me to drive, its when the cable starts getting notchy like mine has recently started when it starts to get a little jumpy, mainly because the cable gets caught just before where the clutch will engage. i just need to make a slight adjustment to the cable to correct this. Before that it was as smooth as any other clutch ive driven. I guess its all driver.
