Thread: Wheel Bearing? Axle? or other?

Trying to find out wtf this is, while trying to handle my caliper issue....i can feel it in my pedal, not huge but enough to know its not a regular ole rubbing noise.

lol...ive never had a wheel bearing go bad to the point where i can feel it in the pedal....i also have some mean clicking when i take tight turns....

Well clicking when turning is usually cv joints but that noise you have during normal driving sounds like pure wheel bearing to me.

I have had one get just as bad on me a few months ago and a few others get somewhat close to as bad.

Sounds like a cupping tire. It could well be the caliper warped the brake disc.

its a wheel bearing b. ive had a bearing get so bad that you could feel it not only threw the pedal but the entire car, and it would make the car pull to that side because of so much friction.

It could be a wheel bearing, but usually the are quiet at low speeds(like no noise) and then get louder as you drive. Has this noise been happening for while? Generally they dont JUST get loud like that, the noise has to be present for awhile. Jack your car up, put your hands at the top and bottom of the tire and shake, if you here a clunk or have play in it, it is mos def your wheel bearing. If not, continue the search, because if it is a wheel bearing that is that loud you will deff have a good amount of play and a clunk when doing the above test.

It may be a tire, try rotating the tires and see if the noise is still there. As a general rule I try the simplest to the hardest solutions
