Regardless, I've seen stock SE-Rs get rocked by Integra GSRs a few times, hmmm... 200cc less of a motor there...

Dont forget about V-Tech. Get a comparable built VE and it will eat GSR's all day on the street. Torque will mow them down before they have a chance to cathch up.
Just for comparison i was at the track and raced a semi stock Prelude in my stock 02 SpecV. I had him in the 1/8th but he flew by me after that. Torque will get you off the line faster, then add VE in the equation and say good night.
Remember Hondas like to be rev'ed out much like the VE's. The DE can not compare to be honest.
You can do a lot with GA's. Check here for what Wes has done, IMO he would be the one to check with before you make a serious decision. Take in mind your over all goals and budget before you make up your mind.

If you want a decently fast GA powered car then boost is the only answer imho. Mike have you checked out Wes's build? Someone mentioned it here in the thread already but I'll 2nd that notion.

If you want to stay NA and not break the bank then a VE is the way to go.

Nice thread. That guy kept changing his story over and over from what turbo to WHP vs Crank. What BS.

Thanx Wes for keeping things right.

Guy is a straight up LIAR. Claiming 367 crank hp at 7 PSI on a 3037....

We hijacked this thread something fierce. I would not mess with a GA16 NA build with what is going on with the SR NA stuff. I made a whopping 113WHP 109 wtq with bolt ons and head work. Boost is the way to go if you are silly enough to mess with a GA16. With 250 WHP and some reduced weight a GA powered car is a great setup. Reliable thus far, awesome power band that is VERY linear (ask anyone that has ridden in or driven my car) and our trannies hold up pretty darn good to boost. As long as you are not expecting to break any HP records the GA is a good turbo motor to build.
