So I got this to work ...finally.
It seems that the clutch arm was releasing too far and getting stuck.
I looked at the clutch arm position compared to my car,and noticed that it was not parallel to the front of the car if you know what I mean.
After a few jiggles,it feed up and was where it was su[pposed to be....all of the sudden I had so much play,I had to make a spacer to be able to get the adjustment back.
It works now,and I took a testdrive to make sure.

Fucking weird....but fixed!

Could you give more detail about the spacer you made? I'm having similar problem. I've already replace my clutch cable with a NEW OEM 1.

My problem is that the clutch arm on the tranny goes too far back. I can pull it up and push it back down. Not suppose to do that.

I am not sure I understand your issue.
The spacer I made essentially does the same as the spacer on a Miko tranny saver bracket does...but without the leg, just the spacer.
I actually have pics of what I did and was gonna do a writeup when I get time.It was a FREE 5 minute fix.I used a washer from a swaybar endlink and drilled it out slightly. It is contoured perfect to fit in the hole the cable goes through, and also cup the rubber part to keep it from moving around.
Heres a couple pics.Maybe you can see what I did.
The pics are actually from the second time I did this.It worked so good ,I did it to my car

Drill out just enough to clear the plastic after you pull the accordian boot away.Put it back on after the washer. It will hold it in place perfectly.

Perfect fit on the bracket

Perfect fit on the rubber part.

I did a writeup in the how to section about this mod I did to the cable.
I guess it needs to be approved or something.

Thread approved. Thanks eggman, it's a good option next to the copper pipe trick.
