I put one ounce of CA-40 today and filled up from almost empty. Averaged just under 27mpg on the last tank before the additive. That was mostly stop and go driving. Same gas station same E10 fuel.

This afternoon I hauled a carload across town with mixed traffic and hwy. Tomorrow I'm taking a little trip. Then I will fill up and see the initial findings.

Pretty impressive!

Now whats your timing and what octane fuel do you use?

Daily driver: Stock ECU, 17 degrees, 87 octane
Weekend SE-R: JWT ECU, 15 degrees, 93 octane

None of that has changed in the last 7 years.

Did 122 miles ~100 hwy 20 or so in heavy traffic around town at lights etc. So it was 3.27 gallons to fill up. 122/3.27=37.3 mpg.

My previous personal best was 34-35 mpg in this car on a tank that was spent entirely cruising at 75 mph. CA-40 is supposed to have a better effect after a few tanks when it gets fully in the system.

So far I'd say there was a statistically significant improvement in fuel economy. Someone else can perform the chai square test. It cost less than a buck to treat the full tank. If I had bought a gallon instead of a quart then it would be even cheaper.

Sometimes I think Ed Schultz is a ****ing idiot and full of ****. Apparently he is onto something. I'll report a few more tanks regardless of the results to be sure.

edit also just recalled my last tank was under 27mpg.

Great, thats good info.

Aceton works as an octane booster, I'm thinking your Daily Driver, at 17* with 87 Octane fuel might be getting some knock, so when you add Aceton it could be working as an Octane booster.

Try fueling up with 93 Octane gas and see if it makes a difference

Interesting!!! Those are some nice numbers dude!

I will be trying the the Lycus Oil for gas after couple of my variables stabilize. It costs $10 for 32oz, so fairly cheap!

I'm still curious about Ethos, but I think what you have Benito, sounds better.

I've seen that before, I found it to be midly entertaining.

The initial results really are enouraging. I've never gotten that much out of any DE motor. I got close to that with the VE but that car had all the bolt-ons. This car is bone stock down to the restrictive airbox, and exhaust.

Ok I finally got a chance for a road trip. I did a tank without the additive and got 28.29 mpg in mixed hwy/city driving. AC off.

Then I did a tank with it and got 32.75 That was a trip from Everett WA to Portland OR and back. I hit a lot of traffic in/around Tacoma both ways. AC on.

I need an alignment but its not bad and consistent across both tanks. Both tanks were E10 which seems to affect my 200sx more than my B13.

Now I am trying 89 to see if it helps any. Very ****ty gas in the NW.
