You dont need to remove the sway bar end link, lol. If you jacked the car up from only one side and the other is on the ground, thats why you cant get the thing off because its pulling the control arm upwards. You need to jack up the other side of the car to relieve the pressure from the sway bar.

Again he probably has one side jacked up and the other not. And by the sound of it hes using a jack under the control arm but really its putting an upward tension on the bolt, So in order to get the bolt out like that you have to push down on the control arm, not up. Either way, both wheels need to be off the ground so both control arms sag down.

Its not rocket science. You dont need to touch the sway bar or end link at all. Period.

And yes, I could literally do this job blindfolded and I would put money on it that I could.

i NEVER undo the 2 bolts on the strut, i take the 22mm nut off the ball joint and smack the control arms a few times with my 3lb ford wrench and viola shit pops loose i push it down an pull the knuckle to the side so when i let the control arm back up the ball joint don't go back in the hole.

To me the strut bolts are much easier to deal with than the ball joint. Especially when the axle is in, its not that easy to get to the ball joint nut.
