Thread: ga16 auto to sr20 wiring ??? asap

You need a wiring diagram to find out what they are first. There will be lots of other issues too, you need to just sit down and fiddle your way through it.

i see the xe is a 92, what year engine harness did you get? there will be some plugs that are not used. as someone else stated, you will need to find a FSM and trace what the left over wires do. i had to do it with my swap, and i knew nothing about wiring. i wish i could be of more assistance, but my swap was using the 91 harness in a 95 car.

i did exactly what i showed you and mine cranked right up. Also mine is a different car too. But i figured it should all be basically the same thing.

i used a 91 se-r harness i have a complete 91 se-r that i'm taking parts from

right now the starter will do nothing with the key
and the se-r gauge cluster does nothing

i may be wrong, but i'm pretty sure the plugs on the driver's side in the pic are from the starter harness right? they should plug into a junction on the driver's side frame rail. i was looking at my starter harness and it hit me.

the top 1 in the 1st pic i think the the Dropping Resistor (A/T only), the 2 in your hand, im sure 1 is neutral safety, reverse lights.

ok i got it up and running, never could figure out anything to get the key to turn the starter, so i just wired it straight up
