Also on some cars you need to cross a few wires under the hood by the battery (I had to as well).

Thanks, i found the harness colors for the sr, but finding the ga16 has been the issue.
Thanks for the response

...question the status quo...

If it's the underhood ones pm me and I can look real close as my engine is not in the bay at the moment. But the other ones inside I repinned so I couldn't tell you what changed

I just did the swap as well, but with harness from a 1996 200sx into my 97 sentra, and there was a lot of harness compatibility issues. First I just swapped the ECU harness and most of the under dash plugs didn't match up. So I swapped the whole under dashboard harness and then it wouldn't match up over at the fuse/relay box. So then I swapped the entire engine room power harness. Then some plugs near the blower motor wouldn't match up so I swapped the wiper motor harness too. Now until I swap the entire rest of the interior wire harness I have no way to plug in a rear oxygen sensor without splicing wires to the ecu harness

sounds like you should've done some repinning and soldering.

lol.. man you picked the wrong year car to do this swap in... i did the Ga to Sr swap on a 94.. No harness will work unless its a 94. 91-92 is diffrent from a 93 and 94 is diffrent from all of them. of course anything can be done with splicing but thats to much work. Get the right harness... Second i didnt change anything on my car but the computer and engine harness.. the 2 plugs that i think everyone is talking about are the 2 plugs that are at the end of the harness where the ecu connects.. Thoes 2 plugs. A long rectangle one and a square one . They HAVE to be plugged in. and if you look at the long plug i belive it almost looks exactly the same BUT the pins ARE diffrent. The plug clips in and everything but if you look close it is diffrent.

Great...just my luck.

So I am going to have to get a 94 harness. Ok.

If I have a 94 engine harness, it will plug in? The harness that was sent to me was cut at the ecu part.

Im telling you my 97 did the EXACT same thing it was the two powertrain plugs under the hood that need to be tapped into. Its worth a shot before you go buying new stuff. Ill be home at 6:15 CST you have my number.

your talking about a whole different car buddy.

the 94 harness will plug right in or have to change the pins on the interior harness connector.
