small update I took my old IACV and gutted it and really cleaned it. replaced my replacement one with it and it got rid of the random reving at idle but still same old putt just steady at about 900 rpm. each cylinder makes a difference when pulling the spark plug wire and the results of the compression test were fine. So things I'm still thinking about trying: a new MAF sensor and a new oxygen sensor (when money allows)
