SR20 TALK. conversation
a very strange guy come in my work today askin me bout my p10. out of no where he says you should put a flat top piston longblock and a ve head together it will rape.... is he right ? wrong ? or dont know what he talkin bout ? i just laughed an said give me the money. i would like some opinions on this

At that point, you call him out and make him look like a bafoon. "Why this why that"? and he will studder away. Shouldve told him a full vvl swap would be the best start

flat top 10:1 pistons would hit the valves with a ve head.

And even if they didn't hit the valves the 10:1 comp pistons after the ve head would be about 10.8:1 witch is still less than the ve's factory 11.8:1 compression witch would yield less power so he is 100% wrong.

actually a ve's factory compression ratio is 10.3:1, compression is slightly higher with flat tops but still anything bigger than the stock cams would hit valves so yeah not true in that since.
