If anything the rwd bottom would place the turbo closer to the block.

im using s13 t25 . which the outlet flange is on the backside of the turbo . so pretty much running the ic pipes between the block n turbo to the flange .

yeah good luck with that look at your motor and get back to us.

No need for 5 pages,

Reason I went with a rwd turbo setup when i first went turbo. I did work for my buddy and got a tubular rwd manifold, t25, and 3" greedy turbine outlet pipe for nothing. The setup cost me little to none. I was planning on running open downpipe anyways so the direction the turbo faced didnt matter to me. I could still fit my fans in place except one i had to put on the front of the radiator. Had to make a custom intake pipe, maf was running blow through so who cares. Other than that the turbo and everything fit just fine.

And you know what, It ran hard and nobody on there can say otherwise. On only 8psi the car went 13.0@110mph on street tires and 12.4@110 on slicks. So laugh all you want but i gurantee that tubular manifold outflows a BB or GTIR manifold by far. As far as the turbos go, there is no advantage one from the other. They are the same basicly.

As cheap as you can get a bb or avenir setup. I wouldnt bother going rwd setup. Again only reason i went that way was because i got the turbo stuff for nothing.

ashton changing the topic a lil bit =) maybe you can help me on this one.. i have a UR crank pulley and a stock wp pulley.. what size belt can i use to stretch it on there.. i know with a stock crank pulley its around 25" is the UR any different?

yes, you will need the next size down i believe. Problem i had with doing that was after a bit the belt would start to slip when it stretched. There was one smaller size that I could have used but nobody carried it. I went with another brand belt and it worked for longer.

I ended up later going to an electric water pump to avoid using a belt at all.

its either that or cutting into my chassis just to flip the pulley lol i think ima invest in to that block off plate and a good pump like that ( what would a set up like that cost)? i couldn't help but to notice the all that free space w/o the p/s pump =) so i had to ask b4 i spend time going back and forth to the part store lol
