I used the two piece compressor with a hand rachet and socket, took me for fk'n ever to use, this looks a whole hell of a lot easier.

You need to get a cheap $40 Harbor Freight impact wrench. Makes the job a whole lot less of a pain in the shoulders.

i have one of these guys ....pretty easy to use... a bit scary for the first few times you use it but after that your golden lol

i just use my floor jack. jack up on the spindle slightly, remove the top nut of the shock tower, and slowly lower the jack. i've used that method many times on many different cars.

I tried that only once, and the assembly decompressed long enough to get wedged in that space in there. It was a precariously dangerous situation. Plus the strut almost tore into the CV boot.

I couldve done it incorrectly though.

maybe you did, i can't say for sure. what works for some, does not work for others. i haven't had a problem so far. though that's not to say i won't have a problem.

Depends upon how much the spring is compressed... if you lower the spindle all the way and that bad boy is still compressed, you're SOL.
