Spring Compressors, anyone use this type (pic inside)

its here on Harbor Freights website

Anyone use this? It looks like theres a possiblity its easier to use than the kind I've always borrowed from Autozone. But who knows...

That looks much easier to use... looks like the spring goes on there horizontally on it's side. I'll check it out tonight.

nevermind I had to wrap my head around it for a sec. Yeah looks uber easy. C-clamp that thing to a bench and hit it with your impact wrench. For $30 you'd save that much in gas to and from AZ.

They work pretty good. It took me a couple of times to get the spring to compress evenly but it worked.

That looks much more safe. Spring compressors freak me out.

how does it work. I see the spring goes horizontal and gets locked in with those pins. Do you screw the long huge bolt inmiddle to compress?
