Advice on axles please
1999 SE-L

the previous owner had an issue with the axles clicking when turning so he bought 2 (left/right) axles to replace em. the car drove fine for about 2 months then a nasty vibration started only under acceleration. Replaced the axles under warranty and the vibration once again was gone but this time only for a couple of weeks.

I bought the car and have since replaced the axles with another aftermarket brand axles. Car was good once again... it's back!! Very frustrating!!

I inspected one of the failed axles and found the support bearing to be junk after a week of driving. The axles also lack the rubber dampener the factory units came with.

Raxle doesnt seem to carry these anymore and the dealership.. well, you know

My question is where are you guys buying axles?

Oem axles ftw also are you lowered this plays a major factor in axle life but to answer your question try searching the forums for a oem set though it might be a little harder as you dont have lsd

yep, car is lowered more than id like it to be @ the moment. Having a hard time finding used OEM units.

I know the passenger side is the same for SE-R/SE-L. Driver side has to be non LSD though.

Anyone knows if axles from any other vehicle fits... MT G20/ sr equiped NX...?

Are these remaned axles or new ? I had bad luck on shitty napa new axles . Shimmy like crazy under axcel . Get used oem or dish out some coin on a set raxels or driveshaft shop level 2 or 3 have shorten center section to prevent bottom out under extreme lowerd cars .

If I had to get halfshafts and Raxles is not an option anymore, I'd shell out the dough for OEM with Greg Vogel. I'd start eating ramen and frozen burritos for the next year.

I'm really happy with the ISO certified Chinese axle Greg sold me. I think the West Coast boys use them in competition without issues. Hit up Gspec in the vendor section for current pricing.
