CC stage 4 clutch problem

Ordered a Competition Clutch stage 4 for my built sr20ve.
Problem is once installed there is way too much slack in the clutch cable. Even fully adjusted there is still too much slack at the point where the cable meets the clutch arm on the gearbox. So I modified the black clutch bracket on the gearbox to move it backwards and take up the slack on the cable.
This allows me to adjust the clutch now. However, aside from the very stiff pedal feel, I'm still battling to find gears, especially at higher rpm. The clutch is adjusted so far that it's at the point where there is almost no play left on the pedal, so I can't adjust it any further or I'd be riding the clutch all the time. Other peopel with the CC clutch have reported the same issue. Is this common on CC clutches or just in general on aftermarket clutches.
What are good clutch options to look at that won't have this problem, but can still hold about 230+whp without slipping. Should I change out just the disc or is the pressure plate the culprit?
Sucks when you spend about $400 on something and it doesn't work!
