Looking on the forums and people have been breaking them at low hp ranges.

Some dude broke one on the forum under 450 or so I think. And my buddy in San Jose Cali broke his on his b14 @ 350ish hp broke 4th But he don't lurk on forums anymore. I hear the 50v holds up 600hp if the 70v would handle 600hp I think 750-900 dollar price would be dime..

Coheed went through 3 or 4 p11 gearstacks in his se-l at around 450whp before finally going to the 6 speed and now hasnt had to worry about it and hes now at just over 500whp give or take.

The type of gear oil you use has a lot to do with how long they last too. As ive said a million times and ill say it again. Valvoline 85w-140 Conventional or Durablend FTMFW. Anything over 300whp on our transmissions I would recommend using it. Better, smoother shifts, much more cusion on the gear stacks, and overall quieter and much better at taking the abuse. Hell if I could get a b13 trans to hold 450 to 550whp for 9k miles of torture both street and track and still not break it with a twin disk clutch after switching, Id say that shows something being I broke 3 stacks in 3 months prior to switching to that oil from a 75w90 oil.

Based on your advice, this is the gear oil I used after my rebuild. I'll let you know how it works out.

I broke a P11 4th gear while using the 85W140 but I think these trannies have weak 4th gears. Looking at the gears it seems like the 3rd gear looks stronger than the B13 but 4th gear might be smaller than the B13. This was done making around 530hp. The only time I ever broke a B13 4th gear was at around 640hp.
