Thread: Opinion on Cams

I have a set of cams hear which check out for both duration and lift, but they do have some scoring which seems to be from lack of oil along the lobes/journals. I did run my finger(nail) across them with no catches as well as a plastic glove with the same result (no catches)

What do you guys think of these and would you use them as is?? I was thinking of just using some scotch bright to clean them up?? (or maybe have them sent out.....). Or any recommendations to clean them up would also be appreciated

Those are absolutely fine to use. Looks more like normal wear and tear to me.

Agreed, those look normal. I wouldn't touch them with anything. Certainly nothing more abrasive than 2,000-grit emery cloth or some fine polishing compound but even then there would be no point. Those are good to go.
