Im trying to find an electric ps pump from an MR2 for mine. It could be a better solution.

Sent from my phone. Who cares what it is. They all do it now-a-days.

I'm actually wondering if it's been working at all with my OBD1 ECU. I definitely see an ECU pin for it though. I might have to just remove and not bother

Interested to see if you can get the SS line to work because I have that same leaking hose on my RR motor. I have been hesitant to replace it due to it being over $140 from the dealer and it seems to be a common problem with these cars. I would rather spend the $140 for a permanent solution as well.

The idea is to run a 240sx line (thank to Keo).

https://www.chasebays.com/product/nissan-240sx/chase-bays-products/chase-bays-power-steering-hose-for-nissan-240sx-s13--s14

Current line goes from steering column to the passenger side strut tower

(Line on the right, that goes straight up by the tower, other line is the low pressure one)

Yeah obd1 has a pin for it as well and the sensor is just in a different spot on the line. Down by the firewall behind the pump on the line coming down from that connection by the strut tower. And yes it should work properly if your at a stand still and not giving it any throttle and turn the wheel it should idle up the car a couple hundred rpm.

You can live without it for sure though. Its more of a comfort feature than anything the way most people drive you will never really ever notice or really use it.

8600 rpm all day long on a stock RR PS pump.

Fuck knows what you guys are doing wrong!

Yup, Looking at the FSM's I saw where it's at. The 240 location is also similar.

Now the only thing is if the line will be long enough from pump to steering rack.

Isn't the UK rev limit same as Japan's RR? 7100 or so?

Also the pump is fine, it's the cheap rubber hose at fault.

that hose is probably the #1 failure on all year G20's. It's right up there with the RR MAFS .
