You can live without it for sure though. Its more of a comfort feature than anything the way most people drive you will never really ever notice or really use it.
Yup, Looking at the FSM's I saw where it's at. The 240 location is also similar.
Now the only thing is if the line will be long enough from pump to steering rack.

Also the pump is fine, it's the cheap rubber hose at fault.
