OEM style radiator hose clamps?
I'm going to replace the radiator hoses on the SE-R, but I do not want to use cheapo generic hose clamps. Can anyone tell me what size I need? I'm guessing 2".

This is one of those cases where you can do much better than OEM.
Generic worm clamps are likely no better or worse.

You can do better though, for sure.

The OEM clamps suck, get some heavy duty worm drives or the above german style if you can find um.

The OE hose is like 1inch and something to 1 5/8s I think and depending on what radiator you have, 2in is too big.

Thanks guys. I should have mentioned that part of my goal is to keep the car looking as stock as possible. T-bolt style I could live with, but worm gear clamps scream cheap when I see them. I have one at the thermo housing and can't wait to get it off, I'm annoyed every time I look at it.

How bad could the OEM clamps be? Mine are 20 years old and still holding fine, but I know they're not going to survive removal.

I'm sure you can find them elsewhere.

Rockwood & Martin are using some interesting hose clamps on their G20 race car.

Project Infinti G20 Racecar: Even More Power

Murray constant tension clamps not only look cool, but also provide better sealing due to the two raised ridges. The spring tension reduces the likelihood of losing a hose coupling because the clamp can expand and contract. This spring tension also allows the clamp to be more tolerant of deformed, or out of round, piping.

Spring loaded t-bolts are a nice way to go on radiator hoses that have constant heating and cooling. The oem clamps stuck. Same reason our cars are so prone to power steering leaks from everywhere where those stupid clamps are used. Worm drives would be better than the oem's because there is more contact area of the clamp providing a larger area of pressure on the radiator hose connections.
