Thread: Will 240sx door hinges work in the B13?

I have a '91 SE-R that has the usual sagging door syndrome, but I was told that the hinges from the 240sx (which I have) are a suitable replacement. True? (Before I start taking off the door)

Take one off and compare.

Well that is the problem, if i take it off and it doesn't fit, I don't have another Sentra hinge to replace it with -

Take your 240 hinges to a "u-pull-it" junk yard, pull a door from a B13 and compare. Hell, you might even find a good set of B13 hinges uber cheap. BTW, passenger side hinges will work on the drivers side if you flip them (lower PS to upper DS). Look for a 4 door, the lighter doors and probable less use means you're more likely to find a good set.

Seems like it would be a lot easier to go to the dealership,and buy the right ones.Or am I just missing something? Other than the hinges you have?

they'll cost a lot more at the dealership.

4 door hinges are the same but like sermonkey is saying lighter door and pass side is less used so they will be in bettr condition.

Unfortunatly thats not always the case...I need to get a set for my 4 door...bah

Easier, yes. More expensive, yes. More fun than spending a morning at the junkyard, no.

B13 fronts are all "the right ones", 2 door or 4 door. One for upper drivers/lower passenger and one for lower drivers/upper passenger....

They're different part #'s than the B13 hinges, but that's not to say they won't work.

Okay thanks. The reason I ask is because I actually *HAVE* two 240sx hinges and I was told that they would work.
