Based on your statement Joe, I would assume that the kit fits my 1993 SE-R?

They do not offer leather covered shift-knobs. I like my Z32 knob from Greg V. Do you know if the stock-threaded Z32 knob will screw on correctly? I used a Momo with set-screws for a while and that was a PITA, never stayed on correctly, it rattled and buzzed at certain RPM's no matter how much I messed with it. I went to the Z32 and love that is screws/threads on properly and makes zero noise, buzzing, or rattling.

Yes its completely bolt in, and the quality is great very solid feeling shifter I wouldn't think twice about getting one.

Shawn your z32 shifter will thread on fine, I had my oem knob on my shifter for a while. I now have an Impul knob and it threads on fine as well.

Honestly, I will never use another shift knob that is not threaded properly to screw on. No way, no how.

I suppose I could add one more car-part to the "To Be Installed" pile of boxes. Like throwing a handful of dirt onto a mountain.

i have a B&M shifter, ES front shift linkage bushing and CS bushing behind the shifter.. not sure what its called exactly.. some people use ES sway bar bushings there instead of stock rubber..

my only complaint is that it rattles like crazy in 5th gear....

I wonder if it's the B&M shifter itself? or the CS bushing...


if it's the B&M, maybe this is an option where I won't have to worry about the noise anymore

These shifters are big on G20.net I think they have a thread about how great they are. One of my friends just got one for his p11 so we will have first hand opinions soon.

Its the shifter itself, I saw on se-r.net that there is a fix to it, but you have to cut off a piece of a plate i think?

I love my b&m shifter, i dont care too much about the rattle in 5th anymore, but can someone answer my question as to why the TWM is so much better than the B&M?

well, i for one would pay $60 extra to not have to "get used" to the rattle.. lol. it feels great. but that rattle is driving me crazy

I'd also pay for the non-rattling TWM unit, any day of the week.

This is all I know about them as well. They swear by them over there. Sounds like you can't go wrong with it.

45% reduction in throw. FYI compare that to the 80% reduction recommended by those installing the adjustable pacesetter.
