Fender Flares
Anyone know of a fender flare that matches our wheel well pretty close? I've looked at several and I'm trying to decide on which to go with. Contemplating on the old CJ7 rear fender flares or even Suzuki Samurai flares. Looking for something that I can pick up cheap online or off of a factory car at the pullapart. Just need a couple extra inches on my fenders.

Miata Flares are pretty common....they might work.

another way would be to cut a moon shape outta thin mild steel, carefully bend it over something round....and vioal!...you have a flare...just rivet the bastard on
there! That's what I think Karwan did for his 275 Hoosiers...

If you rivet steel to steel you are going to have rust problems. You need something inbetween or like a sandwich with plastic in the middle. It is going to take a good amount of skill/practice if you are working from a flat sheet, but if you do something like take a saw-zaw, sabre saw to a car that already has some flare that would be much easier.

I've always thought some fender flares, particularly on a tracked B13, could look pretty good depending on the fabricator. Ala the first-gen BMW M3.....E30? They also look good on the even earlier, but still 3-box design sedan, 2002tii.
