Thread: B15 Distributor Question

So I need to order a cap and rotor for my VEed B14. How can I tell what distrubutor I have? Gspec website has 2 listed...

The 2 caps on gspec look the same. I am sure the b15 only has one distributor. The 99 p11 might have a different one.

NissanGuy, where did you get that dizzy from?

That dizzy was originally from a JDM U14 Bluebird and also an early model P11 Primera.

That model 22100-2J210 was replaced by 22100-2J211, which was replaced by 22100-7J401.

22100-7J401 is the pt.# for the B15 dizzy late model.

22100-7J400 was the early model for the B15 depending on your country.

22100-7J400 is also the part # for the '99-'00 P11 (G20) which was replaced by 22100-7J401 for the '01+ P11 (G20). I have a '99 P11 (G20) dizzy on my VE'd B15. It is virtually identical to my B15 7J401 dizzy. The harness plugs look slightly different but work the same on either dizzy.


Keep in mind all of these distributors are all very similar. They might be (?) somehow different in materials but will be, as far as I know, the same in function.

Your dizzy pt.# was replaced by -2J211. The cap for your dizzy shows up as a -2J211 as well. Just a more current replacement part as far as I can tell. The exact cap pt. # for your dizzy is 22162-2J211.

I am 99% (sorry, not 100%) sure that you want the newer model one Greg has listed, Distributor Cap, 2.0, from 01/01, OEM Distributor Cap. Greg V might have some insight on this for you?

You have 22100-2J210, which was replaced by 22100-2J211, which was replaced by 22100-7J401. The cap assembly for this dizzy is 22162-2J221. I think both would work though??

The rotors all appear to be interchangeable.

Hope this helps somehow. I also, have both caps that greg has listed and they both apperar to be the exact same to me.
