Yep thats about the worst case of misinformation out there. Just look at the list and be blown away.

The SR20 was Nissans money maker engine of its time. Period. I really cant think of any quirks that the SR20 had that would have even made it any type of a problem.

Other engines during its time VG30 - several quirks right off the top of my head
KA24, had intake manifold gasket issues and a couple other quirks as well still solid reliable motor,
GA16 - while weak, it was a hell of a reliable motor that could be beaten to death in a daily driver and keep on going with great gas mileage. I cant think of how many 300k+ mile original GA16 cars ive seen out there. Way too many to count. I know there are some that are in the 400K+ original engine. Cant think of many quirks with it other than very minor things either.

Nissan went backwards with their 4 cylinder platforms. QG18- headgasket issues, wrist pin issues causing knocking at the top end that sounded like rodknock, maf issues and still a weak as hell engine.

I will say they improved the V6 platform with the VQ engine platform. Thats all im gonna give them.

WHOA WHOA there little buddy, i stated in my FIRST post-pretty cool, there was a guy that did a qr swap in a b14 and it was pretty quick...and asked why they are going that rout and not a simple VE build

your simple statement already had everyone locked and loaded, then that was it, they flew off the deep end, i found it amusing, didn't have work the next day so i decided to have fun with it it went overboard and got out of hand but i laughed
