fact is yes the sr is better then the qr.

at the end of the day the sr will never be better then the k series motor. never.

The majority of us wouldn't get butt-hurt. We know where we stand. I love that thread. It is the thread we have that shows we as a community don't have our heads in the sand.

I agree with Stratton. The K is King, but a lot of our forum would try to deny that due to some people's lack of maturity and knowledge. It would be a messy discussion, which is embarrassing. It's how the internet goes, unfortunately. Do I prefer the K? No. But I respect it. Just like the 4G63 and others.

I am curious to see the QR on the roadcourse, though. On a short course, I'd bet it would be decent. And honestly, I like how Nissan likes to stay different than Honda by offering torque, and that is why they went with the bigger motor. The SR was the torquier option when came out. Keep that philosophy Nissan. Even Honda is adopting that now. Look at the new Si.

we have 5 iirc track records in the Southeast with the car when it was QR powered and running in the TTE class. We have 5 or so track records now with the VQ in TTB. The Car won 18 of 19 events. The one loss was due to an alternator that shorted internally.

We are 1 second off of the RTR Sentra's all time World Challenge qualifying record of 1:45.2 at Road Atlanta.... but we're not allowed to draft in Time Attack, which is how they pulled of the time.

The QR is great on a road course. We won a national championship with one and set a still standing track record in 2009 @ Miller in Utah.

On a road course, HP is just one small factor.

Whomever thought a comparison would be in order has never orderd valve cover gasket or tried to do a head job on this motor..

i wouldnt say k is king ,theirs only a few of them worth a damn,and the newer ks are garbage,j series has more power and more torque..and this is coming from a honda enthusiest..k series is sick tho
