That's when Nissan realized overbuilding blocks to hold 400whp is pointless for Grandma Sentra drivers right?

This is exactly the reason I don't want to buy any newer Nissan (anything after 2000 really). Only reason I have a 2000 P11 is because I can easily swap in older more reliable parts.

the qr has potential, but i dont know of anyone who has actually done an all out all motor build. its been mostly turbo builds, or quick bolt ons and call it a day. most wont swap over to a built header and a 3" midpipe. im pretty sure there is some power to be made there.

the main issue with the qr being "slow" is the gearbox. too short of gears to keep the motor in its powerband. it takes 3 shifts to 60 ffs. the 5 speed gearbox from the SE-R is more suited to its powerband for what its worth.

meh, I wouldn't blame asthon. they did started the whole thing BUT we should be the bigger guys and just brush it off.

I think if you want to be that dude with the crazy swap that koo for thinking out the box but don't go and knock on ve's after its been proven that ve's do work and hold there own against competition proven by Cory at the track and a few local guys my way to this day I haven come across any high build qr all motors I eat fully bolted qr's with a non bolted ve!! Just my 2ć at the end of the day it's all made by Nissan and qr are just that annoying brother that trys to one up everything but falls short

im all for arguing and stirring the pot but who really gives two shits about what motor people put in their cars.

still going to race what we have and have fun and thats all that matters.
