Dont know if the aftermarket tomei and hks cams used blanks with the slot either. I figured they did but again could be wrong.

JWT was the first company to do the cams with the slots. Then some of the capanies sitched over to that style.

Looks like they don't get what were trying to come by. Ive read all their post and Joe says they hold the track record that's all, no sr in the books. Thats all i read no
Sr in the books lol. So cuz the qr holds track record makes them more superior? Confused here lol.

Here's how I think it should have gone:

b13 SE-R 9.5:1 SR20DE
b14 SE-R 10:1 SR20DE
b15 SE-R SR20VE
b16 SE-R SR20VE 20V

They could have done this without changing the price of the vehicles too much.

And the Spec V should have been more distinguished from an SE-R. Like an Integra GS-R versus a Type R. The Type R really was by itself in the Integra realm. A measly 15hp bump and 6spd is not enough to justify a difference in trim level. And nowadays, the SE-R is so soft. They've made the Spec V the new SE-R and made the SE-R a watered down middle ground between base models and the "performance model". CVT? Really? I don't get it.

The B15 seems to have a decent chassis. I've read reviews that like the handling even though it's not as tossible as it used to be. A little heavy, sure, but the major drawback is not the weight. It seems they are trying to make it into an option just using the QR25. I think they're beating a dead horse. They tried the QR, now it's time for something else. MR perhaps?

I was looking in the thread over at b15u, I don't get why they started this crap and then later said we started.

I don't even know why we are going against each other, at the end of the day it's still a Nissan.

Isn't the 2JZ-GTE a great motor? Why did toyota stop making it? See where I'm going? ALl good things must come to an end to make room for newer and "better" things.

Alright honestly convince me on why should I swap a QR into my P11? It's a daily car that is driven hard, autocrossed, taken up the mountains etc. Cost of swapping to a completely different engine aside.

Right now with a VE I'm pushing over 170whp (what your QR does to the crank). It's still slow though, so I want boost.

Can I get 300 reliable wheel horsepower out of a QR for under $3k?

What are my ECU tuning options? Last I checked even AEM didn't have an ECU for the 32 bit harness (my P11 has a 32 bit harness that I needed to convert to a 16 bit OBD1 harness).

B15 and P11 SR20's had the same cat right next to the engine. As you saw lurok say his has 250k miles and is still running.

Lmao my cousin has 2 spec v's in his shop with a blown motor and just changed the motor on a altima2.5 imo every qr should be donated to boat captins to use as a anchor and then put a vq in its place

the sr production dying had nothing to do with emissions or technology. It was a cost based move.
